Crosslink is the name given to the journals kept by Arcturus Ansel, a green dragon from Feyndraig.

Note that in-world, the Crosslink Saga refers to the book, not the webcomic by BearGlyph.

The journal comprises three acts, totaling fifteen chapters, and is considered to be a semi-fictional work based on the letters of Rimas Nolie.

Chapter 1 encompasses the first year Arcturus spent in Tolikra, an Adenian city. Chapter 1 is the longest chapter in the journal.

The opening of the chapter is a recollection of a conversation between Arcturus and his partner, a nature spirit named Satyra Ansel. Arcturus has been sent from Feyndraig as part of the Draconic Youth Outreach Initiative, one facet of the Feyndraigish response to the deployment of nuclear weapons in the Adenian-Tethish War.

Arcturus then wanders south through the Great Emerald Serpent, a forest occupying the isthmus between Feyndraig and Alland.
