Draconic Youth Outreach Initiative
The Draconic Youth Outreach Initiative was a rare policy of intentional foreign intervention by Feyndraig.
Origin
This policy was put into place as an emergency countermeasure following the use of nuclear weapons during the Adenian-Tethish War. After this display of force, the high council of Dragons determined that Sapes had grown powerful enough to pose a threat to Feyndraigish independence.
As a preliminary response, before authorizing a pre-emptive strike of any kind, a select group of individuals was raised for the purpose of moving to Aden and living among its people. In addition to Aden, candidates were also sent to Teth, Bachi, Vedkal, and Poirien. This phase of the preparation was meticulous and thorough, and the candidates were by and large considered well-educated in Adenian affairs. However, when the time came to enter Aden, the candidates were forced to make the journey on foot and were extremely under-supplied.
The candidate dragons were not informed of the reason for their entry to Aden. They were simply told to live among the Sapes until they wanted to return home, and then come back to tell of their experience.
The high council would then review their findings and determine whether to declare war on Aden, to remain neutral, or to declare war on all sapekind.
It was not known to Feyndraig at the time, but a powerful anti-magic field was active over Aden, which prevented magic that could normally summon food and drink from functioning. This led to at least one candidate dragon perishing on the journey into Aden, through its northern forest.
