Lerontz B-26 Aircastle Bomber

The Lerontz B-26 Aircastle bomber is the most recent bomber manufactured by Aden, and saw heavy use during the Adenian-Tethish War, including during the bombing of Geil. It was intended to replace its predecessor, the B-19 Flying Castle, as the former flew at too low an altitude and was an easy target for Tethish mages.

The B-26 had a service ceiling of 37,050 feet, far outside the known range of ground-based defensive magic. It also boasted a top speed of 380 mph, a cruising speed of 205 mph, and a range of 2,900 miles. The B-26 had six remotely-operated machine gun turrets, two mounted under each wing, one located under the forward-center of the plane near the cockpit, and one located under the tail of the plane. Of these, only the turret near the cockpit could be manned. The remainder were operated by fiber-optic cameras which were used to aim the turrets from the cockpit.

Though Teth lacked powered flight, that didn't mean that the B-26 was completely safe from assault, as missiles which used flowgrass were telekinetically levitated into the air, acting as airborne minefields. However, the B-26 was far more maneuverable than these airborne mines, making them ultimately ineffective at preventing the B-26 from carrying out operations.
