A nature spirit or nature fae is the resident spirit of a natural formation that was not created by a living being. For example, a mountain might have a nature spirit, but a canyon which was excavated for quarrying could not have a nature spirit as it is not a natural formation. However, if a river naturally begins flowing in this canyon, the river could then gain a nature spirit.
Nature spirits can only be created by dragons, or rarely by sapes with draconic ancestry.
