Motiu Dynasty

The Motiu Dynasty is the fourth and penultimate dynasty of the modern Adenian Empire. It is the longest dynasty of the modern empire, lasting 640 years. During this period, Aden shifted from land-based conquest to developing its naval forces and establishing overseas trading routes. It was during this dynasty that slavery was first practiced in the Adenian Empire. Previous iterations of Aden, especially the Kingdom of Aden, also practiced slavery, but the slaves were typically debtors. The Motiu Dynasty was the first instance of slaves being abducted from overseas nations for the express purpose of enslavement.
