**Manaflow degradation** is the tendency of the media used to make a [[magic_scroll|scroll]] to physically age and degrade with each cast of the contained [[spell]] due to the [[magic|magical]] flow of [[potentia]] out of the object. Manaflow degradation impacts different media differently, and by its nature, limits the amount of times a scroll may be refilled and reused.
