====== External Magic ======

**External Magic** is [[magic]] which affects others, or the environment around the caster.
Magic such as throwing a lightning bolt, or forcing someone else to go to sleep, are examples of external magic.

It can be distinguished from [[internal magic]] by the fact that external magic cannot be directed at oneself.
It requires at least the intermediate form of the [[opening of manaflow|open mana ritual]] to have been completed.
