Finally, he yelled something about how his daughter was just throwing a tantrum, but she didn't buy that. Finally, a van rolled up, and another man jumped out with a gun, opening fire at Addie. Addie charged at the gunman, managing to tackle and disarm him, but she was losing blood rapidly and the pain was so intense she could barely see or breathe. A deep, piercing cold enveloped her.
